What research context suggests about onset of effects — and why "I felt nothing after one week" is usually not evidence of anything.

The uncomfortable truth about timelines
Most timeline claims you will read online come from user anecdotes, not trials. A few honest heuristics:
- Acute compounds (GH secretagogues, some nootropics) produce measurable short-window effects — these are the only ones where "I felt it in 30 minutes" is even plausible.
- Tissue-repair and cosmetic endpoints (healing, skin, tendon, hair) operate on weeks-to-months biology. Anyone promising day-3 results on tendon healing is selling, not reporting.
- Systemic/metabolic endpoints (weight, composition) sit in the middle: weeks for trends, months for meaningful change.
What to log instead of feelings
- Start date, batch/vial identifier, dose, frequency
- Objective measurements where possible (weight, girth, photos under consistent lighting)
- Sleep quality and appetite as rough subjective trackers
- Anything that changes when you stop (washout tells you what the compound was doing)
